Following local footpaths used to access farm fields, forests, and to cross from one ridge to another, you discover a part of Tanzania few tourists ever see. All walks are led by our qualified Chagga mountain guides, who also act as your cultural interpreters. Venture into Kilimanjaro National Park with a day trip to Mandara Hut (2715 m).*

Tour the Mtuy family farm and learn about traditional Chagga farming practices combined with international permaculture concepts. Inquire about multi-day permaculture training courses.

Tour the coffee plantation and learn about harvesting the red coffee berries. Your host will demonstrate the processing of coffee ending up with a delicious cup of fresh coffee.

Our yoga studio, situated within the tree tops with the sounds of the river below, is perfect for yoga, meditation, dance, or any kind of workshop or class. Yoga mats and props are available for your own use. A yoga instructor for larger groups can be arranged with advance notice.*

Walk the frequently travelled foot paths winding through Mbahe Village and catch a glimpse of the everyday lives of the people. On the way, visit the local primary school or join in on a game of football (soccer) at the school pitch.

Swim in the Moonjo River and its waterfalls flowing through Mbahe Farm. Its fun for all including smaller pools for young children or hoping across rocks through the river.

Admire the views from your veranda or the ‘avocado deck’ with a cup of freshly brewed coffee in hand.
